Jeweller of the Month at The Ropewalk Barton on Humber and new Humber Bridge Designs.
I’m delighted to be Jeweller of the month at The Ropewalk, Barton upon Humber, this January.

The Ropewalk was one of my first ever stockists and I’ve had the pleasure of delivering many different workshops there and visiting my friends Joelle and Paul.
Everytime I visit I get excited at my first sighting of the Humber Bridge. After a workshop i feel compelled to visit it and sit for a while with the hum of it’s traffic, never tiring of it’s grace and engineering. Observing the changing skies and expanse of the Humber.

Being jeweller of the month spurred me on to take time out to look at my many photos of the bridge and the tile walls and create a collection of jewellery inspired by it especially for The Ropewalk.

The colours were a labour of love, but I wanted to evoke the big skies I see when visiting the area. I’m sure the sky turns a hazy yellow and blue in other parts of the country, but it’s something I’ve only noticed in North Lincolnshire; it stops me in my tracks, (literally I will pull over in my van to try and capture it’s essence on my phone). This is something I wanted to translate into the range, it’s something special and unique for this collection.

You may also find me searching on the Humber shore for little bits of tide worn tiles or photographing the walls in the area made up from the roof tiles.

This collection will be on show in the Ropewalk shop from next week alongside a selection of my regular nature inspired pieces and a little taster of my Nocean range jewellery.

The Ropewalk is always well worth a visit, the building itself is very unique and intetesting. It’s a fantastic art centre with a vibrant programme of events, workshops, exhibitions and a fabulous shop full of unique handcrafted work. The cafe serves a really tasty selection of meals and cakes, so it’s always worth popping in if you’re in the area.

If you’ve got this far, thanks for reading. I hope you like the designs as much as I do!
And if you’re a bridge fan and would like to buy one you can order from The Ropewalk or drop me a message.
