Our next exhibition by Elaine Thompson starts on Saturday, (9th March) with a preview evening 6.30 -9pm and runs until 13th April

Elaine creates Pictures on reclaimed wood, using the grain as inspiration she creates the picture using pyrography techniques. Her imagery is often inspired by her interest in nature.

Elaine exhibits around the country and is always a big draw in the wood tent at Art in Action on the occasions she shows there. Some of the pictures are from a joint exhibition at Wollaton Hall, Nottingham, with the late Stan Bullard, who made the hugely imaginative wood sculptures.

I’ve known Elaine for many years as she’s based in the craft workshops in Eastwood, my old studio home; she’s often hosted exhibitions and previews for me so it’s lovely to finally return the favour.
