The Joy of Needle Felting
I thoroughly enjoyed our Festive Felting workshops so we’re running a new course for Spring:
Felt Woodland Creatures
We’ve not come up with finalised designs yet, so you can have your say in what we make. The ideas so far are: mice, owl, fox, badger, squirrel, stoat, a woodpecker (although that maybe takes me on to a whole new set of bird workshops) … and of course a deer.
Another suggestion was for creating the woodland trees, then, if we go down the flora and fauna route, the possibilities are endless!!
If you’re interested do let me know what you’d like to make!

Stag Workshop
As the reindeers were so popular, I’m running another one day workshop, this time creating a stag. (You can of course get your Christmas preparations in early and still make a reindeer)
The stag workshop is on Saturday 29th April, 10 – 4. £50 Book here
It’s Relaxing and Addictive!
The festive sessions were perfect for a winters evening; so with mince pies at the ready, everyone set about felting their creations … all that was missing was a log fire 😉
I find the process of needle felting really relaxing, so much so that I created 3 reindeers as gifts … I’m now really excited about develping new designs ….. in fact, some may say, it’s a little bit addictive!
Felting with Emma
It was great to work with Emma on developing the designs for The Festive Felting. Emma is one of our long standing regulars and a very talented craftsperson, she specialises in textiles and creates gorgeous handspun yarn and weaves, (when she has time!) We’ve done many a felting session at Craft Club and so decided to develop some workshops and share our skills with everyone.
Emma delivered the first set of workshops, including elegant baubles, trees and the cute gnomes. I then finished off with the robin and reindeer workshops.
Emma is also teaching some wet felting workshops with us. Last year she showed people how to make bowls; this year Nuno felting is planned.

These workshops will run on Tuesday Evenings 7 – 9pm
28th February, 7th, 14th, 21st March 2017
